Step 3 - Creating an Opportunity: Set a Price Target

Once you have created the Market Baskets for your Project, the next step is to determine your desired Target.

Setting Pricing Targets is not a mandatory step; however, it is a feature that helps to communicate your goals to the suppliers you select for your project.

To set the Pricing Target for your project, click the box to the left of the items you want to set a target for or click the box in the header to include all of the items. Once you have selected at least one item, the button at the top left will activate.

Once you click the Set Pricing Target, a pop up box will allow you to select the Type:

  • Benchmark: This will allow you to set the pricing target to a Curvo Benchmark (25th, 50th, 75th or 90th percentile) across all of the SKUs.

  • Percentage: This allows you to set the pricing target to a specific percentage. If you want to save an additional 10% you would select Percentage and put in 90% as your target.
  • Value: This allows you to set a specific value.

The CurvoX Sourcing Module also allows you to upload a document to be used as part of the project. An example would be to display specific constructs and desired pricing targets.
