Price Scores show your price percentile rank compared to other prices for that same item.
A Price Score is applied to each line item for which Curvo provides price benchmarks. This is a calculated score equivalent to the percentile rank of that price in the market.
For example, a Price Score of 50 means that the price for that item ranks at the 50th Percentile. That is the median price in the market (midpoint of the price distribution for that item).
Curvo Price Scores and Benchmarks are like your SAT scores. If you have a Price Score of 90, then your price is better than 90% of the market and you're in the top decile of pricing. If you have a score of 25, then your price is only better than 25% of the market and you're in the bottom quartile.
When you see a Price Score applied to a group of items, this score is weighted based on the total spend, during the selected time period, of each item from the same vendor or manufacturer.
